Refund and cancellation policy

This policy covers what academies pay ChesSync for their subscription. Fees that families pay an academy go straight to the academy; ChesSync never receives that money, so any refund of class fees is between the family and the academy.

Try it free before you pay

Every academy can use every feature before paying anything: the Free plan (up to 5 students, 40 days) or a 10-day free trial of a paid plan. No card or payment is needed to start. Please use this time to make sure ChesSync suits your academy.

Payments are not refundable

Once a subscription payment is made, it is not refunded, in full or in part. This includes paying for a month, a quarter or a year, extra seats added in the middle of a plan, and a plan you stop using before it ends. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

What we always put right

• A double payment for the same invoice: we return the extra payment.
• A wrong amount because of a mistake on our side: we return the difference.
• A payment we cannot match to your invoice: we work it out with you, and return it if it should not have been made.

Write to us within 30 days of the payment with the invoice number and the UPI transaction number (UTR). Money we return goes back the way it came, normally within 7 working days of our confirming it.

Cancelling

There is nothing to cancel and no automatic payment: ChesSync never charges you on its own. If you do not renew, your academy becomes view-only the day after your paid period ends, and you can still renew at any time. If you want your data, ask us and we will send you a copy. Academies that stay unpaid are closed and their data deleted as described in our Privacy policy.
